Saints bounce back

Millicent 62

West 45

DAMAGING PLAYER: Millicent’s Donna Denton proved on the weekend just how damaging she is, entering the court at quarter time after the Saints were losing by 10 goals to in-form West Gambier. Millicent – with the assistance of Denton – managed to turn things around after the first term and finished with a 17-goal victory.

DESPITE West Gambier taking a solid lead in the first quarter Millicent bounced back to claim a 17-goal victory in Round 16 of Western Border netball.

It was an impressive opening term at Malseed Park with West Gambier being dominant to lead the reigning premiers by 10 goals at the first change.

Under an illness cloud, Donna Denton started on the bench and West gave the more inexperienced line-up no chance to settle, piling on the defensive pressure and not allowing any easy ball for the Saints.
