THE focus of the region’s major winter sporting codes will be on Millicent’s McLaughlin Park on September 3 when it hosts the second semi-final of the Western Border football and netball competitions.
It will be the biggest one-day sporting event in Millicent since 3000 came to McLaughlin Park in 2014 for its first ever Western Border grand final.
The September 3 final is expected to be a significant money spinner for the host club and have a positive impact on the turnover of Millicent businesses in the hospitality and retail sectors.
