Craft talents help raise cancer funds

A GROUP of community-minded crafters using the art of quilting to pursue advances in curing childhood cancers have been recognised for their efforts.

Craftswomen from the Quilts for a Cause program were honoured by the Lions Club of Millicent for their donation of 13 quilts, which raised more than $6000 when auctioned for charity.

Lions president Alan Rolfe praised the dedicated work of the highly skilled artisans at a recent presentation ceremony held at the Millicent and District Community Club.
