THE owners of Millicent’s two independent supermarkets have called for the status quo to be maintained with respect to shopping hours.
Wattle Range Council started a formal public consultation process yesterday about the possibility of deregulating Millicent’s shopping hours.
Millicent is one of the few places remaining in country South Australia where shops the size of Woolworths, Target and Foster’s Foodland are regulated and cannot trade on Sunday and most evenings.
